报告摘要：The physical phenomenon of plasmon resonances in small metal particles has been used for centuries. Nanoplasmonics is a specialized subfield within the broader realm of nanophotonics. Nanophotonics is crucial in applications such as enhancing spectroscopic methods, improving photovoltaic efficiency, and creating sensitive detection systems for biological and chemical molecules. An introduction will be presented of this fascinating new field.
报告人简介：Francois M. Peeters，美国物理学会会士、欧洲物理学会会士，比利时皇家科学院院士、欧洲科学院院士、国家重大人才计划A类特聘专家、中国科学院外国专家特聘研究员，2023年加盟南信大海外院士工作站。凝聚态理论物理领域的国际知名专家，在Nature（7），Nature Nano. (3), Nature Phys. (2), Nature Comm. (10), Nano Lett. (16), ACS Nano (6), Phys. Rev. Lett. (58)等学术杂志发表SCI论文超1550篇。H-index为125（Google Scholar），根据2025年ScholarGPS排名，在全球物理科学领域的学者中位居前0.05%。
